10:40 AM CASE STUDY: Driving Multidisciplinary Partnerships to Create a Precinct that Enhances Australia’s Productivity and Sustainability

Inspired by global examples such as MIT’s Kendall Square Initiative and Imperial College London’s White City Campus, the Carlton Connect Initiative is set to deliver a leading innovation precinct that possesses the tools, platforms and services to facilitate a thriving and vibrant ecosystem that will enhance Australia’s productivity and sustainability. With a projected cost of $425 Million, Doron will explore how the precinct will:

  • Regenerate the former Royal Women’s Hospital site into an open, light and contemporary precinct that meets the highest standards of design and sustainability, while also honouring the site’s heritage and history
  • Drive collaboration between the health service and enterprise, leading to the development of new healthcare technologies, products and services
  • Attract and retain top global talent, breaking down the barriers between disciplines, sectors and geographies
